Hacks for Hiding TV Wires and Unsightly Cords

1. Put the Cable Behind the Walls

To make your TV wires completely invisible, a great hack is to place them behind your walls. To do this, First, you’ll need two holes in the drywall. Place one behind the television and another near an outlet. Use a stud finder to make sure they are away from any wall studs then turn off power for safety reasons.

Then install cable plates on each of these holes and run cords through the top plate down into the bottom plate below it so that nothing is visible. However, if your cords are short, your best choice would be to use an in-wall power and cable kit to add an outlet behind your TV directly.

2. Hide the Cable Box

Let`s face it, having all your devices in one place can create a mess of wires and not be the most beautiful thing to look at. You might want to consider hiding them behind furniture like sideboards or cabinets with doors on each end so that you don`t have open storage while using these products.

If there isn’t an opening for the cables already made, drill into pieces and use hole cutters as needed. For those who would rather not deal with turning things on manually every time they`d like something turned off/on, opt for infrared receivers instead which connect directly to cable boxes without needing manual input from users.

3. Hide Power Strips

The power strip is not only an unsightly source of cord clutter, but it also poses a problem for those with limited space. You can solve this issue by lifting the strip off the ground to keep all those plugs out of sight or installing them just below your entertainment center`s base so that they bridge any gap between furniture and wall.

Another option would be hanging them on the wall with some screws/nails using their holes in the back or even investing in one designed specifically for outlets.

4. Secure Extension Cords

There are a few ways to keep extension cords secure. Cable catches prevent them from falling off desks or nightstands when you unplug devices, and cord hooks will run the wires down furniture legs hence eliminates all those dangling electrical cables behind your desk. This allows it to look organize and clean.

5. Consider Labeling Cords

Being able to tell your cords apart is a common problem for people who have too many. It can be especially annoying when you accidentally unplug something important, like the Wi-Fi or lamp. To make this process easier, labels are recommended when they are visible at all times.

Labels help prevent power outages and give more control over what gets turned off by mistake versus on purpose.

6. Bundle Your Cords

A cord wrap or dock is an easy way to keep all of your wires in one place. Bundling has been known as the best cable hack around and electronics such as printers, computers, or phones come with a lot of connected cords. Using cord wrap will help you organize them so that everything looks streamlined and less cluttered.

7. Create a Docking Station

Organize your charging cables by repurposing a magazine rack and adding an organizer for the multiple cords. It will reduce clutter, make everything more accessible, and create a stylish space you`ll want to show off to your guest.
